Custom Deck Builder in Lenoir City, TN
Outdoor Living Between Two Lakes
Lenoir City has a rare gift: Fort Loudoun Lake on one side, Tellico Lake just down the road and the Smokies on the horizon. Whether your home sits on the water or in one of the neighborhoods that keep growing around town, your backyard should make the most of it. Smoky Mountain Deck Builders has completed more than a dozen projects in Lenoir City, from lakefront decks and screen rooms to paver patios with seat walls.
Recent Lenoir City Projects
- Lakefront deck and screen room: an extended freestanding deck in Deckorators Venture composite, finished with a screen room and gutters planned to carry runoff away from the house.
- Aluminum screen rooms: one topped with a single-slope shingled roof to match the house, another with a corrugated metal roof for a relaxed, lake-house look.
- Deck replacement with partial roof cover: a 16×20 deck rebuilt with part of it under a new roof, so there’s shade and sun in the same space.
- Composite decks: new decks in Deckorators Vista, TimberTech Prime+ and Eclipse decking.
- Paver patios with retaining walls and seat walls that turn sloped yards into level gathering spaces.
- Metal handrails for safe, clean-lined stairs.
Lakefront Decks Done Right
Building near the water means thinking about drainage, moisture and the view. Composite decking from Trex, TimberTech and Deckorators is a natural fit because it resists mold, staining and fading and never needs sealing. Freestanding designs, like the lakefront deck above, can be a smart way to extend living space toward the water, and cable or aluminum railings keep sightlines open. We plan gutters and runoff so water goes where it should.
Lakefront lots can also involve extra approvals. Around Tellico Lake, for example, we’ve handled Tellico Reservoir Development Agency permits for lakeside decks in the Vonore area, alongside the usual county building permit and HOA review. We’ll tell you what your property needs and take care of the paperwork.
Screen Rooms Built for Lake Evenings
Summer evenings by the lake are beautiful, and they’re also prime time for mosquitoes. That’s why screen rooms are one of our most popular projects in Lenoir City. Powder-coated aluminum framing is low-maintenance and holds up well in humid lakeside air, and you can choose a shingled roof that matches your home or a metal roof with a more casual feel. Add ceiling fans and lighting and you’ll use it from spring through fall. Learn more on our screen rooms page, or see covered decks if you’d like shade without walls.
Patios and Hardscapes
Not every great outdoor space is a deck. Paver patios with retaining walls and seat walls give you a solid, level place for a fire pit, a dining table or a grill station, and they tie your deck and yard together. Browse our hardscapes gallery for ideas.
Thinking About a Dock?
We build and re-deck boat docks on East Tennessee’s TVA lakes and handle the TVA Section 26a permit, including a recent new dock, shoreline deck and dock re-deck in nearby Loudon. See our boat docks page for details on dock types and the permit process.
