Delivery Driver – Tool Mechanic
Job Description:
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Delivery Driver/Tool Mechanic to join our team. As a key member of our company, you will play a crucial role in ensuring smooth operation of our deck-building projects. Your responsibilities will include safe and timely delivery of materials, equipment, and tools to job sites, operating big equipment, and maintaining and repairing tools and machinery.
Responsibilities:
- Safely transport materials, tools, and equipment to and from job sites
- Load and unload items from delivery vehicles
- Follow established routes and schedules
- Inspect and maintain delivery vehicles for safety and cleanliness
- Communicate effectively with project managers and team members regarding delivery schedules and issues
- Ensure accurate documentation of deliveries and obtain necessary signatures
- Inspect, repair, and maintain tools and equipment used in deck construction
- Maintain a clean and organized tool storage
- Communicate with clients politely and professionally to provide an exceptional customer experience
- Check orders before and after drop-off to make sure deliveries are completed correctly
Qualifications:
- Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record
- Experience in delivery driving and familiarity with local routes
- Mechanical aptitude and experience with tool maintenance and repaid
- Strong attention to detail and safety
- Ability to lift heavy materials and operate hand trucks or forklifts
- Excellent communication skills
- High school diploma or equivalent
Compensation:
$16-$20 hourly
