Construction Superintendent
Job Description:
Own day-to-day field execution for deck and dock projects: safety, quality, production, site logistics, documentation, and closeout. Keep work moving, communicate risks early, and deliver a clean, professional finish. Assist hands-on only when needed to protect schedule/quality.
Responsibilities:
- Safety: Enforce PPE/housekeeping; stop work for unsafe conditions
- Quality: Build per plans/scope;verify layout/dimensions; prevent rework
- Production Schedule: Plan daily work, coordinate sequencing, and remove constraints
- Coordination: Manage crews/subs, deliveries, inspections, and site access/logistics
- Communication: Update PM on progress, risks, and field-driven changes same day
- Documentation: Photos + daily notes in JobTread (or company system)
- Punchout Closeout: Drive punch list, final clean, and turnover readiness
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of construction experience (carpentry/exterior preferred) with jobsite leadership responsibility
- Able to read plans, measure accurately, and coach correct installation methods
- Safety-first mindset; reliable communicator; organized and accountable
- Comfort with mobile documentation apps (JobTread or similar)
- Valid driver’s license; dependable transportation
Compensation:
$55,000 – $62,000 yearly
