Our Story
A Passion for Detail, A Commitment to Home
What started as a way to stay close to home and spend more time with family quickly turned into a calling.
Our founder, Nick Diroberto, began his journey in design and sales, crisscrossing the country until he realized what mattered most: staying grounded, enjoying the outdoors, and creating something lasting. He joined a friend’s decking crew, working entry-level jobs, but his attention to detail, love of building, and natural leadership pushed him quickly into a team leader role.
From that moment on, the vision snapped into focus: quality over shortcuts, people before profits, and true craftsmanship over cookie-cutter construction. He pushed boundaries, patented his own deck lighting, and obsessed over the details. That same passion led him to launch Smoky Mountain Deck Builders LLC—with a bold promise: to take care of the team and blow past client expectations every single time.
